This is a collection of recordings of Wagner, Dilius, and Schubert, which occupy a particularly important place in Beecham’s extensive repertoire. In fact, there are not that many Wagner recordings by Beecham, but in his later years he actively took up Wagner and gave phenomenal performances. Dilius and Schubert were performed at the Edinburgh International Festival. This recording is from the last concert Beecham performed at the festival. Naxos Japan
