The 12th volume in the Foster Music Collection.Masaki Igans Four Songs of Princess Nukata is a work that focuses on four poems composed by Princess Nukata, drawn from the *Manysh*a collection that has recently garnered renewed attention as the source of the era name Reiwa. Although originally written for soprano and wind ensemble, two types of scores have been prepared so that the piece can be performed with instrumental accompaniment alone. It can be performed with or without vocals.The title piece, Metropolis by Kazuhiko Kawabe, was a selected work from the 22nd Kyen Competition. It depicts the various facets of the capital, Tokyo, with a sense of speed and dynamism.
