Tom Jones, a Welsh legend and one of the greatest entertainers of all time, has long been popular for his dynamic, soulful, and sexy voice. His popularity was such that he left behind many BBC recordings in the 1960s, and this collection of early BBC recordings includes his BBC sessions from 1964-1966. Included are hit songs such as “It’s Not Unusual” and covers of Stax, Atlantic, and Motown songs that reflect his tastes. The cover songs in particular include many songs that cannot be heard on the original album, and the selection of songs and the powerful performance of the band at that time can be fully appreciated. The Squires backing him up are also excellent! A total of 35 tracks, including interviews, are recorded in high sound quality.
