Tony Williams, the genius drummer who revolutionized the jazz world with his groundbreaking performances in the Miles Davis Group, formed Lifetimean early jazz-rock supergroupin the late 1960s with John McLaughlin (g), Larry Young (keyboards), to form Lifetime, an early jazz-rock supergroup. For this album, they welcomed Jack Bruce (bass) from Cream, further strengthening the rock elements. The powerful, explosive performances by this exceptional lineup deliver a sound so intense that it even surpasses that of Cream and the Jimi Hendrix Experience.
