Trio Accanto

Description:

A breathtaking “song without words” performed by a trio specializing in contemporary musicA collection of works written for Trio Accanto, specialists in contemporary music. Titled Songs and Poems, this album consists entirely of instrumental pieces. While the music showcases contemporary sounds at their fullest and features a generous display of virtuosic ensemble playing, each piece also conveys a strong yearning for song and for the human voice. Though their lineupsaxophone, piano, and percussionmight at first glance resemble a jazz trio, these musicians are dedicated solely to contemporary music, creating songs without a voice. Their performances, filled with tension born of heartfelt expression, are truly breathtaking. The diverse range of percussion instruments used is also fascinating.King International
