This interesting album explores the theme of women’s artistic expression and how poetry and music intertwine. In addition to well-known songs, the album includes original arrangements by Trio Marilisse and newly commissioned works, which show the power of words in poetry and the creativity in sublimating them into music. In “Poemes d’un autre jour,” based on Faur’s “Poeme d’un jour,” which is also the title of the album, a new interpretation is given by replacing the original poem with one by the female poet Ren Vivienne. The program includes works by Pejacevic, Stroll, and Lili Boulanger, as well as a first recording by contemporary composer Ines Alimi, offering a taste of expression that transcends country and time.Tokyo M-Plus
