Siegfried Wagner was born as the eldest son of Richard Wagner and Cosima Liszt. Although he originally aspired to be an architect, he followed in his fathers footsteps and became a composer. He studied composition under Humperdinck. He also demonstrated remarkable talent as a conductor and has been highly active at the Bayreuth Festival in both conducting and directing.
