Description:

Carlo Alessandro Landini studied under composers with markedly different styles, including Messiaen, Donatoni, Ligeti, Xenakis, and Lutosawski. He moved to the United States on a Fulbright scholarship and currently teaches at the University of California, San Diego, while remaining actively engaged in composition. His compositional style involves sustaining specific modes or chords while constructing music through subtle shifts in texture within the resonance of those same chords, bearing similarities to the music of Giacinto Scelsi and the Spectral School. This is the debut album of Yusuke Kumehara, a young Japanese conductor based in Milan.Tobu Shoji Co., Ltd.
