Born in 1991, Rie Koyama won first prize at the 37th German Music Competition in 2012. She has also taken top honors in numerous other competitions, including first prize at the Muri Competition in 2013, and currently performs as a soloist with many orchestras across Europe. Her wide range is characterized by a natural tone and rich musicality; her soft high notes, in particular, are magnificent, and she is expected to have a promising future.
