Description:

Weid Hertenstein, a young German viola player, is a great lover of Prokofiev’s “Romeo and Juliet,” which he says he was first attracted to at the age of 7 when he saw a ballet. In his 20s, he became more interested in the exquisite orchestration of the piece, and challenged himself to bring out as much as possible of this variety of tones on the viola. In this work, he succeeded in expressing the close relationship between butoh and music. Recorded in the Netherlands in 2013. (C)RS
