C.L. Barnhouse’s 2019 reference performance collection for intermediate and advanced bands, trusted by educational institutions in the U.S. and around the world. The title tune and opening piece is Rossano Galante’s “Rise: The Gay Games Anthem,” which has become increasingly popular in recent years. This piece was commissioned by the Gay Games Federation as the official flag-raising music of the Federation. The Gay Games is the world’s largest LGBT sports and cultural festival, held every four years, with 2018 marking the 10th edition. The uplifting and glamorous style of the music makes it an appropriate opening piece. Other new works by David R. Holzinger are also included, and will be a must-have for wind band instructors for competition and concert selections.
