Barnhouse, a company that has earned the deep trust of educational institutions not only in the United States but around the world, features Chandler Wilsons Sunscapes as the title tracka piece composed to evoke the warm climate and abundant sunshine of Florida. The piece features a striking, vibrant opening that seems to embody Floridas bright and lively culture. It is truly a composition worthy of opening the program. Additionally, Singaporean composer Benjamin Yeo has arranged the folk song Takedas Lullaby for wind ensemble. It incorporates Japanese traditional instruments such as kagura bells and shime-daiko drums to evoke a traditional Japanese atmosphere.
