• On their new album “Tigers Blood”, Waxahatchee continue on the path of their successful predecessor.

  Behind the project is singer-songwriter Katie Crutchfield, who grew up near Waxahatchee Creek in Alabama. Originally, the 35-year-old ran riot under this name in sometimes noisy indie folk and indie rock. On her groundbreaking last album “Saint Cloud”, however, Waxahatchee’s sound clearly shifted towards alternative country and Americana. In return, the musician was showered with euphoric reviews and placings in annual best lists.
