Ubet, a Brooklyn project by Nick Lovett. Released its debut album, Way To Be, on Sub Pop-affiliated Hardly Art. youbet, the Brooklyn project of songwriter Nick Llobet, will release its debut album, Way To Be, on Sub Pop-affiliated Hardly Art. All songs on the album were written by Nick Llobet and produced by Llobet himself. It was mixed by Adam Brisbin and mastered by Amar Lal at Macro Sound. Growing up in South Florida, Llobet learned to play guitar at an early age and dabbled in all genres, including classical, blues, classic rock, and flamenco. Eventually, Llobet moved to Brooklyn, where social anxiety and Imposter Syndrome consumed him, and he contemplated abandoning songwriting altogether. However, a chance encounter with Patti Smith led to Llobet’s rebirth, both personally and artistically.
