The theme of the final volume of FourElements, a project Yu Kosuge has been working on for four years, is Earth.Yu Kosuge delivers performances characterized by an exquisite touch and unique sensibility, focusing primarily on the German Classical and Romantic periods, including Beethoven. This album is a live recording of the Earth program, which serves as the concluding chapter of her FourElements concert series, a project she has been working on since 2017.Among the four elementswater, fire, wind, and earthearth is the one closest to humanity. I wanted to create a program that traces the essence of humanity itself while narrating human history, says Kosuge. Her vision is fully reflected in this selection, which, unlike her previous albums featuring short pieces, consists entirely of substantial works, each one a centerpiece in its own right.The program features Schuberts Wanderer Fantasy, themed
