This album, the bands first since frontman Daniel Brumburg left, was produced by Chris Cordy (Ya Ya Yays, Grizzly Bear, etc.). On this album, Maxthe bands guitarist who previously performed with Daniel in Cajun Dance Partyhandles vocals, guitar, keyboards, and trumpet on every track, showcasing the bands new potential. The album features a range of tracks, from refreshing alternative numbers to guitar-driven rock songs, and incorporates beautiful vocal harmonies by Japanese bassist Mariko Doi throughout.
