Until now, the only known autograph manuscript of Sonata K. 331 was the final section of the third movement; however, in September 2014, another portion was discovered in a Hungarian library. This album is the first CD recording in Japan based on this new manuscript. Furthermore, by performing these two sonatas on both a Walter and a Stein model fortepiano as well as a modern concert grand piano, listeners can clearly discern the differences in tone and nuance between the instruments. This is the fourth volume in Yuko Hisamotos Complete Mozart Piano Sonatas series.After graduating from the Faculty of Music at the Tokyo University of the Arts (majoring in piano), she completed her masters degree at the Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School.
