• Zapp (also known as The Zapp Band or Zapp And Roger) are without question one of the most influential bands in the electronic funk subgenre. The band made a name for themselves in the early eighties due to their inflationary use of the talk box, which would later become the band’s trademark.   The original line-up of Zapp consisted of the four brothers Roger, Larry, Lester and Terry Troutman together with Bobby Glover and Gregory Jackson. In the early days of their career they worked closely with George Clinton and Bootsy Collins
