The fifth installment of the Mahler Series featuring Matzal and the Czech Philharmonic.This can be described as the first performance to clearly bring out the complex and intricate structure, particularly in the outer movements. The concert served as a tribute to Vclav Maek, the renowned timpanist of the Czech Philharmonic who made his mark during the Neumann era, upon his retirement.
